THE DEAN OF FEB UNISMA EMPHASIZES THE ROLE OF STUDENTS IN LEGISLATIVE DIALOGUE

Saturday, November 5, 2022, at the Postgraduate Building Floor 07 UNISMA, the 2022 Legislative Dialogue National Seminar was held with the theme "Forming Young Legislators and Executors with Integrity to Welcome a Golden Indonesia." 

DPM FEB held the event in collaboration with BEM FEB UNISMA. The activity invited representatives of all UAM FEB, all DPMF of the Islamic University of Malang, and LKMM participants for the 2021 batch of approximately 700 students offline. The purpose of this activity is to increase the knowledge of the Student Representative Council of the Faculty of Economics and Business, the University of Islam Malang as a legislative body and to develop the mindset of students in legislative matters for the progress of Indonesia and to strengthen knowledge and build the character of student leaders.

This activity started at 09.00 WIB, which was started with remarks from the general chairman of FEB Unisma and then opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business. The Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Mrs. Nur Diana S.E., M.Si, in her speech, said that: "4 roles of students in realizing community welfare: 1) Agent Of Change 2) Iron Stock 3) Moral Force 4) Social Control To fulfill the demands of this role, one of them is that you have to create activities, exercises that will strengthen your competence to carry out this role. one of them is through LKMM, and this is a very relevant topic that you face through legislative dialogue." Then the main event, namely the national seminar on legislative dialogue delivered by Mrs. Hikmah Bafaqih as Deputy Chair of Commission E of the East Java DPRD. Students seemed enthusiastic about capturing the material presented by the resource person. She also said: "If you still think politics is dirty, corrupt, unclean. The point is to do politics if you want to fix the current political stigma. Then it will still happen, study politics and go into it and continue to fix what is not true." In the presentation of the material presented by Mrs. Hikmah Bafaqih, she also conveyed the characteristics of a professional person who is responsible and the characteristics of a responsible person who has excellent and mature planning in his life. In this material, students are trained to be critical in dealing with problems in the campus environment and the community.

It is hoped that the National Seminar on Legislative Dialogue will be able to provide knowledge to students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, especially DPM, Faculty of Economics and Business, about legislation in Indonesia and can implement it in Ormawa and community activities so that it is functional. Hopefully, after the event, the Faculty of Economics and Business students will be competent not only in the same field but also in the non-exact field so that they can bring new changes to our beloved Faculty of Economics and Business environment for the better.
