Improve Competency in the Field of Reliable Human Resource Management, FEB UNISMA Tests the Certification of Candidates for Graduates

In the Digital Transformation Era, the Human Resources Management Profession is essential in helping companies get quality human resources to achieve company goals. This profession will help the company recruit and select human resources and ensure that all employees comply with all company policies. Facing this problem, the Faculty of Economics and Business, Islamic University of Malang, in collaboration with the Kadin Institute and the Professional Certification Institute (P3) of Professional MSDM, held a Training and Test of Professional Certification of Human Resources Management. The event was held on the 3rd floor of The Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Islam Malang, Nur Diana SE, MSi, said that Human Resources (HR) is a determinant of organizational performance. Competent human resources become good capital for improving organizational performance. Managing HR requires the proper knowledge, skills, and attitudes so that the Human Resources Management Profession in the company plays an important role and requires many special skills such as employee development competencies, industrial relations, negotiation and communication, and so on.

"Based on the Circular Letter of the Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia Number M/5/HK.04.00/VII/2019 concerning the Compulsory Enforcement of Competency Certification for Human Resource Management Positions, in this regard, the Ministry of Manpower imposes mandatory certification for workers who occupy positions in the field of HR Management/HRD 2 (years) since the issuance of the Circular. Following up on this, FEB UNISMA, a higher education institution that produces competent and competitive graduates, especially in human resource management, held a BNSP Standard Competency Certification Training and Test by collaborating with Professional HR and Kadin Institute, "said Diana.

"Prospective graduates and alumni who meet the expectations of the industry's needs will support careers in the world of work. Human resources with competency certification are more employable and productive," Diana explained. His party emphasized that the student's academic abilities had received a bachelor's degree recognition. However, for the recognition of work competence in certain types of professions, such as human resource management competence, it needs to be recognized nationally and internationally through a certificate bearing the Garuda Indonesia logo from the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP) in the form of a "COMPETENT" competency certificate in the Human Resources Management scheme. "Competency capabilities are supported by the issuance of certificates as written evidence that the candidate's abilities have been recognized according to standards. Of course, a person can be categorized as an 'expert' or proficient by looking at the results of his work. However, a certificate will increasingly give a plus to the person so that it has credibility," said Diana.
