Implementation of MoU: FEB UNISMA Joint Seminar with UMK Malaysia

Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Islam Malang (FEB UNISMA), held the 1st International Seminar Malaysia Indonesia entitled "Leveraging Entrepreneurial Education for National Building" on Thursday-Friday (26-27 /12/19) at Multimedia Hall Imam Hambali Building FEB UNISMA.

This event was held in collaboration with FEB UNISMA and University Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) Malaysia. The delegation from Malaysia, led by Prof. Dr. Zailani Abdullah (Dean Faculty of Entrepreneurship & Business) UMK Malaysia, was present to cooperate with the Faculty of Economics and Business UNISMA in the field of holding joint seminars and research collaborations, transfer credit student mobility.

The Dean of FEB UNISMA Nur Diana, S.E., M.Si., in his remarks, welcomed the delegation of the FEB UMK Malaysia delegation team led by Prof. Zailani Abdullah as the Dean of FEB UMK Malaysia. The holding of the 1st ISME collaboration activity between FEB UNISMA and FEB UMK Malaysia is a form of implementation of the agreement between the two parties during the visit of the FEB UNISMA leadership to University Malaysia Kelantan in early November 2019. "Along with the agreements that have been made, God willing, in September 2020, we will send students to FEB UMK Malaysia and vice versa. The realization of this program is FEB UNISMA's effort to improve the quality of institutions and open students' horizons. FEB UNISMA is a higher education option with many offerings of various kinds of activities in international programs," he said.

The Chancellor of the Islamic University of Malang, Prof. Dr. Masykuri, M.Si., When opening the 1st International Seminar on Malindo Entrepreneurship 2019, welcomed all guests from Malaysia and all keynote speakers who attended the event. He said that the joint seminar activity between FEB Unisma and FEB UMK and Narotama University Surabaya was a form of implementation of the collaboration between the Chancellor of UNISMA and the Chancellor of UMK Malaysia, which was held during the 2018 Global Summit University Leaders activity yesterday. FEB UNISMA responded quickly by implementing international seminars, outbound student mobility, entrepreneurship seminars, entrepreneurship workshops, and business talks. "We as leaders would like to thank all deans and teams who have organized international level activities. Hopefully, this collaboration can strengthen each other between institutions in the two countries

In the seminar session entitled Leveraging Entrepreneurial Education for National Building, the keynote speakers of leaders of universities in the two countries explained various models of entrepreneurship education in each country. In her presentation, Nur Diana, S.E., M.Si., as the Dean of FEB Unisma, conveyed the university business incubator model as a forum for developing innovative and creative entrepreneurship learning. Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Entrepreneurship & Business University Malaysia Kelantan Associate Prof. Zaelani Abdullah explained the practice of entrepreneurship in Malaysia.

Not only seminars, in this event there was also a Sharing Session "Challenge and Direction School of Business in Indonesia & Malaysia". In front of all guests and hundreds of seminar participants from students and the general public, the MoA was signed by the Chancellor and Dean of each party.

After the seminar, the Focus Group Discussion Research Collaboration and Matching Grand between Unisma and Malaysia as a research agenda in 2020 was carried out with all leaders.
