Handover of BNSP Standard ICT Competency Certificate

To improve graduate competence, FEB Unisma continues to equip graduates with the needs of the world of work, one of which is Information and Communication Technology (ICT) capabilities. On December 15, 2020, there was an event for the Submission of the ICT Competency Certification Test Certificate organized by the National ICT LSP, BNSP, and the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Islam Malang and Polisma.

The event, which was held offline and online, was attended by representatives of the National ICT LSP Yusril Adrian, S.Kom, M.Kom., the Dean, and the leadership of FEB UNISMA as representatives of participants in the ICT competency certification test.

Certification Exams that students have taken from final students from 3 study programs: management, accounting, and Islamic banking in September 2029. They take the competency exam for the Practical Office Advance (POA) and Data Management Staff (DMS) schemes issued by the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP).

Thank God, all participants who took part were declared competent, so they were entitled to receive a competency certificate from BNSP, which the National ICT Certification Institute tested.

In his remarks, the Dean of FEB Unisma, Nur Diana, SE, M.Sc., conveyed that the Industrial Revolution Era 4.0 and economic disruption and the dynamics of rapid technological development required human resources who had competency standards as evidenced by competency certificates. Diana said three things must be met: knowledge, skills, and Work Attitude.

"Human resources with competency certification are more  employable and productive," he explained

"From the university side, competency certification can be used to increase the competitiveness of FEB UNISMA graduates," Diana added that the more competent FEB UNISMA graduates, the more will be able to work professionally and be recognized by the company.

Meanwhile, representatives from LSP TIK, Yusriel Adrian, S.Kom., and M.Kom, stated that this competency test was the second exam held at UNISMA. But previously, it was only held at Polisma. This year is a competency test with a more significant number of participants, most of whom come from FEB Unisma.

Both also hope that this collaboration can be continued in implementing the Merdeka Learning curriculum.

The event was continued with the submission of the ICT Competency Test Certificate by the National ICT LSP to the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business,  University of  Islam Malang, and continued with submitting a competent certificate by the Dean to representatives of participants who were present online.
