Firda Aisyah and Normalasari, Students of the Accounting Study Program who won Best Paper and Best Presenter at the 4th ICEBUSS International Conference

Firda Aisyah and Normalasari won the Best Paper in the 4th International Conference on Economics and Business and Social Sciences (ICEBUSS) at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Islamic University of Malang. The Call for Paper activity is a series in the 4th ICEBUSS with the theme "Recovery from the Pandemic: Outlook and Prospects for the Business and Economic in Asia," attended by keynote speaker Chotibhak (Pab) Jotikasthira (Associate Professor of Finance at the Edwin L. Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University, United States discussed BOND PRICE FRAGILITY AND THE STRUCTURE OF THE MUTUAL FUND INDUSTRY. Meanwhile, Wing Wah Tham (Associate Professor of Finance in the School of Banking and Finance of the University of New South Wales, Australia) discussed MANUFACTURING AND PROCESS INNOVATION, PRODUCTIVITY, AND GROWTH. Dr. Ameen Talib (Head of Applied Projects at Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), Singapore) discussed the EVOLUTION OF ACCOUNTING IN THE NEW ECONOMY AND THE INCREASED TRANSPARENCY.

The 4th ICEBUSS activity was attended by researchers and practitioners (CEOs of world companies) from 17 countries, namely the USA, Australia, Singapore, Netherland, Russia, Japan, Malaysia, Taiwan, Uzbekistan, Qatar, Philippines, Brunei Darussalam, Thailand, India, China, Palestine, and Indonesia. In this event, Firda Aisyah, a student of the Accounting study program with Nur Diana SE, MSi, succeeded in carrying out the theme "Is The Adoption of Information Technology to Improve The Performance of SMEs in Indonesia? Has won Best Paper in the 4th ICEBUSS 2022 event. His research was motivated by the formidable challenges of the Covid 19 pandemic faced by SMEs. The challenge is in the form of a decrease in sales revenue, which impacts the decline in Indonesia's economic growth. One of the Government's policies for SMEs that must carry out digital transformation is expected to maintain their operational activities and company performance. The study's results stated that the improvement in SMEs' performance was caused by the direct influence of technological, individual, and organizational factors. Meanwhile, the improvement in the performance of SMEs will also increase through the indirect effect of e-commerce adoption.

Meanwhile, Normalasari, an Accounting study student who has successfully participated in student exchange programs at several overseas campuses such as Malaysia, Thailand, Russia, and the Philippines, managed to become the Best Presenter at the 4th ICEBUSS 2022 event. In her research entitled THE EFFECT OF FINANCIAL BEHAVIOR, FINANCIAL LITERACY AND DEMOGRAPHIC FACTOR ON STUDENTS' INVESTMENT DECISION MAKING, with the guidance of Maslichah SE, MSi, Akt, CA, and Dr. Dwiyani Sudaryanti.
