Finalization of Curriculum Based on MBKM, FEB Unisma Brings UGM Expert

As a continuation of the Series 1 activities carried out on September 27, 2021, FEB Unisma Malang held a Series #2 Focus Group Discussion (FGD) activity, which was held offline and online, entitled "Curriculum Reorientation and MBKM-Based Learning Management in Improving National Competitiveness." This activity was held on Tuesday, October 4, 2021. This FGD activity was carried out within the framework of a grant from the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology, which was won by the FEB Unisma, Management, and Accounting Study Program. The resource persons in this FGD are Drs. B. M. Purwanto, MBA., Ph.D from the Faculty of Economics and Business UGM Yogyakarta. In his remarks, the Dean of FEB Unisma, Nur Diana, SE., M.Si, said this activity was a response to the Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) curriculum gave students the right for 3 semesters to take part in 9 MBKM programs. Namely student exchanges, internships, independent studies, village projects, teaching assistance, entrepreneurship, research projects, humanitarian projects, and defending the country.

"The curriculum is the lifeblood of education that must be evaluated innovatively, dynamically, and periodically by the times and science and technology, the competencies needed by the community and graduate users. In addition, universities are faced with the challenges of the industrial revolution 4.0 and pandemic problems, which require humans to adapt to new literacy abilities. The curriculum is in line with the needs of the Industrial Revolution Era 4.0. It includes data, technology, and a human literacy, which pivots to having a noble character," he said.

FEB Unisma has been carrying out curriculum reconstruction efforts since 2020. Currently, three study programs, namely Management, Accounting, and Islamic Banking, are at the stage of finalizing the implementation of MBKM, where the curriculum stages are made to adjust and anticipate scientific developments and the world of work and also to bring learning closer on campus and when entering the world of work. For this reason, the arrival of the expert, namely Drs. B. M. Purwanto, MBA., Ph.D. is the OBE Curriculum team of the Ministry of Education and Culture, and the Yogyakarta UGM Curriculum Committee is critical to reviewing the MBKM curriculum.

Meanwhile Drs. AS THE RESOURCE PERSON, B. M. Purwanto, MBA., Ph.D. discussed many roles regarding the Mission and Vision of Higher Education, Faculties, and Study Programs as the Foundation for work, where the organization's Mission describes the goals, stakeholders, values, and beliefs. In contrast, the Vision describes the aspirations of the organization in In the future, then he continues the alignment of the Mission as the Foundation, such as whether the Mission is in harmony with the Faculty/Prodi and whether the activities of the faculty have had an impact by the Mission of the Faculty/Prodi. Then he explained the Graduate Profile, Graduate Attributes, Learning Outcomes, and Outcome-Based Education, which includes curriculum design, assessment, and reporting in the education process to reflect learning achievements and mastery of learning materials rather than just accumulation of course credits and course structure and curriculum designed to achieve capabilities or quality.
