The 2022 FEB UNISMA Tax Brevet was officially opened by the Dean of FEB UNISMA Nur Diana, S.E., M.Si on September 27, 2022. The event was opened with a National Seminar on "Taxes for the People" by presenting a resource person, the Chairperson of the Indonesian Institute of Accountants, the Tax Accountant Compartment, who also serves as Head of East Java Regional Tax Office 1 Prof.Dr. Poltak Maruli John Liberty Hutagaol, S.E Ak., M.Acc., M.Ec (Hons)., CA. The 2022 Tax Brevet is a form of implementation of the Cooperation of the Faculty of Economics and Business, the University of Islam Malang, with the Indonesian Institute of Accountants for the East Java Region, Malangraya Commissariat, which in its implementation involves the HimaProdi Accounting FEB, the University of  Islam Malang with the theme "Creating A Generation Of Competent and Competitive Accountants."
In his speech, the Dean of FEB UNISMA, Nur Diana SE, MSi, said that one of the requirements for a person to become a proxy for a company in fulfilling his tax rights and obligations is to have a BREVET CERTIFICATION in the FIELD. TAXATION. In this regard, the Faculty of Economics and Business, the University of  Islam Malang, in collaboration with the Indonesian Institute of Accountants for the East Java Region as a Tax Brevet Training course institution, held Integrated A & B Tax Brevet Training (Plus). "Tax Brevet training is essential for students because when they graduate, students must have the skills to compete in the world of work, especially expertise in the taxation sector, in this case, a certificate of competency for A & B Tax Brevet expertise with a national standard," explained Diana. "Moreover, in implementing an independent campus, the world of higher education must synergize with professional associations, in this case, the Indonesian Institute of Accountants (IAI), to provide input in the curriculum and certification of expertise competencies," she said.
Meanwhile, the Head of IAI for East Java, Malangraya Commissariat, Prof. Dr. Hj. Pujihandayati, S.E., Ak., M.M., CA., CMA, in his speech, greatly appreciated the Cooperation Steps that had been established with FEB UNISMA until the implementation of the Tax Brevet Workshop until the 8th batch. According to him, accounting students who have competence in the field of taxation are permanently attached to the accounting major. This activity is significant in answering the demands of the community and the industrial world related to competencies for accounting student alums. At the National Seminar on "Taxes for People's Welfare," which was explained by the Chair of the IAI Tax Accountant Compartment and the Chair of the East Java Regional Office I, Prof.Dr. Poltak Maruli John Liberty Hutagaol, S.E Ak., M.Acc., M.Ec (Hons)., CA explained many things such as the characteristics of tax collection, tax revenue admin, the role and function of taxes, and many other materials that are also acting as a support for FEB Unisma students, especially accounting majors, to take the tax brevet and explain in detail what this tax brevet is about it. It is hoped that graduates of the accounting department of FEB UNISMA will be able to answer the demands of the community and the industrial world related to taxation
