FEB UNISMA HELD SAMEP BUILDING PROGRAM SELF-CONFIDENCE FOR STUDENTS

Implementation of the SAMEP FEB UNISMA Program at the beginning of 2023, January 2, 2023, to be exact, presenting FEB Unisma alumni Al Imron, currently the Chief Financial Officer at a Property & Real Estate Company in Jakarta. The event is packaged as a program that brings together alumni and students in a mentoring program in the form of a "partnership" where alumni (mentors) share knowledge/experience with students (mentees) to support them in achieving personal/professional goals. On Monday, January 2, 2023, the SAMEP PROGRAM is entitled "Self Confidence, exploring creative ideas starting from the lower level." This program has been running for almost a year.

In his Opening Speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Islamic University of Malang Nur Diana SE, MSi, stated that SAMEP or Student Alumni Mentoring Experience Program is FEB Unisma's flagship program which was initiated by FEB alums and launched in 2022 on the 41st anniversary of FEB. The SAMEP Program is a place for sharing experiences and mentoring from FEB Unisma alums who have been successful in their fields to final-year students. This program is in line with the Merdeka Learning Merdeka Campus program to create superior resources, which must collaborate with various elements to support the creation of superior human resources, one of which is the role of alumni which is very large. "Alumni fill a vital role, from input to output; alumni in the industrial world provide input and input in formulating a curriculum aligned with industry needs and also play a role in polishing prospective graduates to become reliable human resources," said Nur Diana.

"Not only sharing experiences from alumni, next the SAMEP Program will be ready to provide mentoring for prospective graduates according to their wishes when they graduate later, such as becoming workers or entrepreneurs or continuing their studies," she said

Diana further emphasized that in the SAMEP Program initiated by FEB and Alumni, it was required that mentors be FEB UNISMA alumni with at least five years of work experience and had specific competencies that could be shared with students. At the same time, the requirement to become a mentee was a FEB UNISMA student who had at least stepped on semester 5, students who have graduated and are waiting for graduation, or new graduates who are still unsure about their next steps.

"The challenges of the world of work are hefty, and the number of PT graduates is large, so FEB Unisma graduates must have a unique, competitive advantage that other graduates do not have," added Nur Diana.
In the SAMEP PROGRAM, Al Imron acts as a mentor who takes an active role in prospective graduates. Armed with experience in how to start a career in several companies that were classified as small to large companies until now, thanks to instilling a strong vision, desire, and will for successful people, the learning process, and combining theory and practice.

According to him, prospective graduates from now on must be able to explore problems and problems in facing future careers. "Find your current problem before entering the real world. Look for solutions from various perspectives. Face and understand the gap that you have. Do self-reflection, build self-confidence, and map out the steps you have to prepare to enter the world of work," he said.

According to him, his presence as a mentor in the SAMEP program is not just one time, but we have a moral obligation to support and provide assistance to younger siblings when they experience difficulties in carrying out an action plan. For this reason, he opened unlimited communication to students in following up on whether the "action plan" had been implemented.
