The Accounting Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Islamic University of Malang, held a Hybrid Seminar with the theme "Strategy & Career Opportunities for the Accountant Profession in the Era of Digitalization. The seminar was attended by speakers from two different professions, namely Ari Jatmiko Hardjosubroto, SE, Ak, CA, MBA, CFE (Vice President of Internal Audi PT Bank BNI 1946), and I Gede Auditta., SE, MSA, Ak, CA, CMA, CFP, CSRS, CSRA, QWP, AEPP, CPA, CBA, CRMO, CRGP, CSP, CLI, ODP, CPA. (Partner from Public Accounting Firm Made Sudarma, Dewi, and Thomas. The event was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Islamic University of Malang, Nur Diana SE, MSi said that this accounting profession seminar is critical to be followed, especially for students and lecturers of the Accounting study program, to know the shifting needs of HR in the field of Accounting due to various challenges faced due to the industrial revolution 4.0.

"In the era of digitalization, of course, many jobs have been replaced by robotics and IT. Jobs that are usually at a lower level and are repetitive have been replaced by robots and by IT. The question is, will the need for the accounting profession remain high in the digital transformation era? Can the presence of technology shift the role of accountants? Diana said in the opening remark of the activity, which was held on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at the Meeting Room FEB UNISMA Floor 1. Diana further revealed that the digital world we are currently facing only creates great opportunities and benefits for the public and business interests. However, here it will also have an impact on risks related to business continuity and how the credibility of the accounting profession is". Meanwhile, Ari Jatmiko Hardjosubroto., SE, Ak, CA, MBA, CFE (Vice President Internal Audit PT. Bank Negara Indonesia 46 Tbk As a presenter online, they explained that Internal Audit is considered independent if it can work freely and objectively. To obtain such independence, the position of the Head of SKAI in the organization must be determined in such a way as to be able to express his views and thoughts without influence or pressure from management or other parties related to the bank.

The main service of public accountants is assurance services for information historical finance and non-assurance; accountants don't just learn about accounting; there are many things that need to be learned, such as marketing, etc.; ending an accountant's career path can be like opening your own office, working with big companies, accounting talks about the economy, with the term circle, an accountant's career has many opportunities. Opportunities exist if we can understand the cycle".

This activity was followed by a Q&A session by Online and Offline Participants. With the end of the question-and-answer session, this activity ended and went smoothly. Therefore, with this activity, it is hoped that we will understand more about the audit profession from this professional seminar event and be able to implement it later in existing work program activities and in the world of work.
