Encouraging Entrepreneurs, FEB UNISMA Holds Young Entrepreneurship Student Talk Show

To increase the talent and interest of the millennial generation in entrepreneurship, the Student Association of the Accounting Department, Faculty of Economics and Business (HMJA FEB) of the  University of Islam Malang held a Young Entrepreneurship Student Talk Show. This activity occurred in the Meeting Room FEB UNISMA Floor 1, Friday 26/08. This activity aims to provide motivation and share knowledge and experiences of millennial leaders to FEB UNISMA students who attended the talk show this time both offline and online. Two young leaders enlivened the talk show. Tri Ayunda Fitria is a Designer & owner of Khayrscraf and Alumni of FEB UNISMA), Shahihul Islam (Founder of Eatery Snack and undergraduate student of the Accounting Study Program at FEB UNISMA). Both are examples of the millennial generation who are considered capable of creating and succeeding from a young age.

On this occasion, Tri Ayunda Fitria, usually called Ayunda, provided motivation and understanding to the millennial generation about the opportunities for success. According to him, the millennial generation has the same incredible chance of success, with the condition that they are brave to take their steps and try new things. According to him, one of the keys to success that must be considered in doing business is the courage to take risks from every opportunity. An alumnus of FEB UNISMA admits that since college, he has been in business and designed his hijab, Khaycraf. Furthermore, Ayunda emphasized that her success was due to her ability to innovate and creativity in capturing existing opportunities. "Friends, you do not need to hesitate; big capital is not a guarantee to become a successful entrepreneur in the current era," he said. "When studying at FEB UNISMA, we used the Student Entrepreneurship Workshop facilities to channel our entrepreneurial spirit. Initially, the hijab design was to fulfill her friends' wishes and follow fashion trends in small quantities. In line with the demands and meeting the hijab needs of students and lecturers, it turns out that the demand is growing even outside UNISMA. Is the business expanding, even adding several machines and employees," she said. Ayunda, a business whose turnover can generate hundreds of millions, has been in the business for about five years. He is grateful that his business can send his family for Umrah and Hajj Furodah this year.

Meanwhile, Shahihul Islam (a 5th semester student of the FEB UNISMA accounting study program), who is currently starting a business in the snack food sector, said that it was time management that allowed him to continue his business, study, and organization. "In starting a business, the main key is a collaboration with several friends so that the created brand continues to grow," he said. "The toughest challenge in running a business is how to beat insecurity when you want to start a business. We must be confident, brave, and ready to face all the challenges. Prepare mentally and have a strong determination, we can become successful entrepreneurs," said Sholihul Islam. In this talk show, the two speakers gave tips, namely "do not be afraid to fail. Failure is a stepping stone to success. The key is to live it; first, there are errors in evaluating these mistakes, and consistent, 1-2 years is a time of improvement and development; the next time is when we reap our results.

Deputy Dean III of FEB UNISMA Khalikussabir SE, MM said that this activity also aims to improve the spirit of young entrepreneurs and hopes that this activity will give birth to ideas that can be poured into the Student Creativity Program. Furthermore, it is hoped that this activity will open students' horizons. This activity is expected to be a stepping stone for students to be able to enter the world of entrepreneurship. Thus the government's goals to reduce unemployment will be significantly helped if scholars in this country create their businesses without looking for work from companies or government agencies.
