Collaborating with Akadasia Pte, Ltd Singapore, FEB UNISMA Strengthens the Independent Learning Program

On April 16, 2022, the Faculty of Economics and Business at the Islamic University of Malang signed the MoA with Akadasia Pte Ltd Singapore. Akadasia is an international institution based in Singapore developing mission-based EdTech businesses aiming to democratize education for all by empowering educators with the skills & technology needed to teach 21st-century students.

The signing of the MoA from the FEB UNISMA was carried out by the Dean of FEB UNISMA, Nur Diana SE, MSi, and the Akadasia Pte, Ltd. CEO, Neelesh Bathia. The areas of this collaboration include the fields of Education, Research, and Community Service in implementing the Independent Learning Policy on the Independent Campus.It should be noted that the signing of this MoA is a follow-up to the MoU between the Chancellor of UNISMA, Prof. Dr. Maskuri MSi, and the CEO of Akadasia.

Neelesh Bathia, Founder and CEO of Akadasia Singapore, who was previously the keynote speaker at the 4th ICEBUSS 2022 and Cohost event held by FEB UNISMA in February 2022, admitted that he was happy and proud to be part of this collaboration in developing edtech globally.

"This is my first opportunity to visit Malang. As neighboring countries, we need to support each other in various aspects. Let's learn from each other, share experiences and knowledge," he said.
According to him, there are many developments and rapid changes in education. Therefore, UNISMA and Akadasia Singapore collaborate to learn from each other.

"We also learn from you because UNISMA has a unique way of learning. We can support each other and collaborate. UNISMA is the top campus in Indonesia. I hope Akadasia Singapore can become the backbone behind UNISMA's success in Indonesia and worldwide," he concluded.

In response to this, Nur Diana, SE, MSi, as the Dean of FEB UNISMA, really appreciates the breakthrough in collaboration with international standard institutions in supporting the development of the tri dharma of higher education, especially the development of edtech, which is very much needed in the implementation of MBKM for both lecturers and students.

"We hope that this breakthrough collaboration with Akadasia, which is global, can develop the pedagogical & technical skills needed in the 21st century; there is support for easy-to-use curriculum builder tools that allow lecturers to design and build content that is interesting for students and most importantly the availability of platforms that can be used. to distribute the content to students," said Diana

Furthermore, the Dean of FEB UNISMA hopes that the Human Resources development program in the field of Technology offered by Akadasia Singapore and internationally recognized, such as Blockchain certification for lecturers and students, can be implemented soon so that FEB UNISMA can increase HR with international competitiveness.
