After Signing the MoA, FEB UNISMA, Holds Digital Marketing Competency Certification Test

Closing Ceremony of Digital Marketing Practinioer Course Batch 1 and the signing of the MoA between FEB UNISMA and the Indonesian Digital Marketing Association and LSP Digital Marketing Indonesia on Friday, 22 July 2022 at Hall K.H Abdurrahman Wahid. FEB UNISMA followed up by holding a Digital Marketing competency certification test which was held on 23 to 24 July 2022. The certification exam, which was held in collaboration with the Indonesian Digital Marketing Professional Certification Institute, was located at the Faculty of Economics and Business Building,  University of  Islam Malang, Floors 1,2, and 3, and the Usman Building. Bin Afan Floor 3 was attended by 700 participants.

In this activity, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Islamic University of Malang, said that the need for human resources who have competence in the digital marketing field as a result of the demands of the 4.0 era is getting higher while the availability of human resources who have these competencies is still limited. Moreover, the World Economics Forum 2021 survey shows that digital marketing is one of the ten most sought-after future jobs in the era of digital transformation.

"For this reason, the Faculty of Economics and Business, Islamic University of Malang has prepared HR needs according to character 4.0 since 2017 by redesigning an Era 4.0, MBKM and OBE-based curriculum, Collaborating with various industry partners and professional associations, implementing MBKM, increasing HR competencies, Improving infrastructure facilities according to the needs of RI 4.0, etc.," said Diana

According to him, students' academic ability has received recognition in the form of a bachelor's degree. However, for recognition of work competence in certain types of professions, it is necessary to have recognition in the form of competency certificates such as competence in the field of digital marketing, competence in the field of Human Resources Management, digital accounting, etc.

The Dean, keen to make various innovative and creative breakthroughs to create competent and competitive graduates, said that the competency test is to meet the demands for recognition of skills, especially in digital marketing. This is one of the efforts to improve the quality of prospective graduates and must be owned by students to support one of the profiles of graduates from the Management Study Program, which is to become a digital marketer.

Diana further revealed that the digital marketing competency certification test aims to measure students' knowledge and abilities in digital marketing. Prospective graduates can have proof of competence from their abilities which can be used as a competitive tool in the industrial world they will enter after completing their study period," he said.

Diana hopes that FEB UNISMA graduates armed with competency certificates can provide convenience for prospective graduates of the Faculty of Economics and Business, the  University of  Islam Malang, in obtaining jobs in the industrial world. In addition, becoming an entrepreneur in the technology field, for example, start-ups, are proliferating. Because in this era, almost all companies or industries prioritize the abilities of their employees.Meanwhile, Dian Martin, the Chairman of the Indonesian Digital Marketing Association, in the opening of the Competency Certification Exam, said that FEB UNISMA's steps to answer the needs of Future Jobs in the Digital Transformation era were very appropriate, "

"With various stretches of innovation carried out by FEB UNISMA to answer the challenges of the Digital Transformation Era through curriculum reform, Digital Marketing Schools and even certification are concrete steps in meeting the needs of current and future workforce," he said.

"Even from the results of a survey conducted by the digital marketing association, it shows that out of 4,4460 universities in Indonesia, only 3% are adaptive to the needs of this profession, one of which is FEB UNISMA," he said.

Meanwhile, Satria Setiyadi, Director of Digital Marketing Indonesia, said that the collaboration with FEB UNISMA to provide a Digital Marketing competency certification exam is a very appropriate step for breakthroughs to facilitate the creation of Competent and competitive HR by providing proper recognition. According to him, the need for certified workers from time to time in various industrial sectors is increasing, so the presence of BNSP through the Digital Marketing Professional Certification Institute, a P3 LSP, is expected to meet these needs.
