Village Community Education, Investment Gallery FEB UNISMA Present in Malang Regency

Indonesia Stock Exchange Investment Gallery (GIBEI) Faculty of Economics and Business University of Islam Malang, PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) East Java Representative Office, and PT Indopremiere Malang held the Goes to Village Investment Gallery Program on August 14-15, 2021. The event, which was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of  Islam Malang, Nur Diana Se, MSi, appreciated the breakthrough and innovative steps of KSPM (Mopdal Market Study Group) FEB UNISMA led by Devinda Larasati, a student of the Accounting Study Program FEB UNISMA in collaboration with PT BEI Representative office East Java and PT Indopremiere to educate and increase investment literacy of the Village community in Malang Regency to be literate towards correct investment through the "Yuks Nabung Saham"

"The presence of Investment Gallery activists in rural areas can provide understanding for rural communities to determine the right investment strategy, especially during the pandemic, by optimizing all investment opportunities properly and carefully," Diana said.

Diana hopes that this activity will create a financial inclusion village that can improve the welfare of rural communities and reduce poverty levels in the future. The village is one of the focuses of increasing financial inclusion in Malang Regency because rural communities are still accustomed to storing their assets or wealth in less productive savings items. ." Diana said.

Meanwhile, Dewi Sriana Rihantyasni as the Head of the Java Timru Representative office at the Indonesia Stock Exchange, strongly supports the Investment gallery goes to Village program; according to the villagers, especially PKK women and youth groups, it is time to be investment literate and understand that investment is not only in fixed assets such as land, buy essential commodities in traditional markets. It's time for the villagers to understand what stocks are, the transactions in the capital market, and the trading mechanism.

Furthermore, Dewi expressed her appreciation for the positive steps taken by FEB UNISMA, which so far has collaborated with PT BEI and has made many breakthroughs that support the Yuks Saving Stocks movement as proclaimed by the Indonesian Capital Market. The head of the IDX East Java Regional Office expressed his appreciation for the award received by the IDX FEB UNISMA Investment Gallery, which has won the PHP2D Grant from the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology by creating a Village Community Empowerment program through Waste Bank Management as Investment Capital for the Capital Market in Indonesia.

"Obtaining this grant is a real step for KSPM FEB UNISMA to mobilize the community in investing in the capital market by attracting village communities so that this movement is socialized more evenly," he said.

Meanwhile, PT BEI Trainer Asikin Ashar and PT Indopremiere Malang Branch Manager Ami Nabila Fawzi gave a lot of material on stock introductions, the Indonesian capital market, products traded in the capital market, and the right investment strategy to generate returns. In addition, PT Indopremiere also introduced an Android-based stock investment application that facilitates investment transactions for investors.
