FEB Unisma Strengthens Independent Learning Program Merdeka Campus, Signs MoU with PT. Magnesium Gosari International and Holds Hybrid Seminar

The signing of this MoU is a form of collaboration between Universities and the Industrial World that supports the MBKM Program from the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology. It is known that Nur Diana signed the MoU as Dean of FEB Unisma and Bambang Eko Prasetyo as Managing Director of PT. Magnesium Gosari International, Wednesday (16-03-2022). Diana, in her speech, expressed her gratitude for the willingness of PT. Magnesium Gosari International to cooperate with FEB Unisma.  Diana  also explained that universities face various challenges, one of which is the Independent Learning Campus policy launched by the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology.
"We as Universities must cooperate with the Business World and the Industrial World and other Universities to carry out the 9 Free Learning programs," said Nur. FEB Unisma responded positively to the MBKM policy issued by the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture; this policy will bring universities closer to the community and DUDI. Regarding this policy, FEB Unisma has conducted an academic study followed by revisiting and revising the curriculum and learning activities."
FEB Unisma responded positively to the policy to carry out its goals of producing superior, adaptive, competitive, and character Human Resources to suit the demands, needs, and trends in the Business World and the Industrial World. This effort is carried out by carrying out various programs, collaborations, curriculum reforms, learning systems, innovation programs, and creativity in higher education tri dharma. "The curriculum is at the heart of which we can produce Human Resources who are adaptive, competitive, superior, with character according to competence and according to the demands of the industrial world," added Diana.
This collaboration will involve the transfer of knowledge and insight, strengthening skill competencies through internship programs from the industrial world to students and lecturers regarding the practice of implementing risk management in the real world. Diana hopes that this collaboration will provide positive contributions and values in increasing the acceleration of the implementation of the independent campus policy. Bambang, as managing Director of PT Magnesium Gosari Internasional ( MGI), welcomed the collaboration between the fields of education and business as an independent learning program between MGI and FEB UNISMA. According to him, MGI fully supports the Independent Learning Program and the Merdeka Campus, which is organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, especially FEB UNISMA in this case doing, cooperation for internship programs and, in the future, carrying out research development at MGI Bambang adds, PT. MGI will continue to carry out productive programs in support of every government policy, especially regarding education and research development. This internship program will be carried out continuously and certified and support the development of research from the UNISMA academic community whose research results can be applied at PT. MGI
According to Bambang, this cooperation program is essential for Indonesia as a preparation step to become a developed country because cooperation between the academic field and the business world in developed countries has long been carried out. In response to this, the Dean of FEB UNISMA said that currently, FEB had sent students from the Management and Accounting study program who are domiciled in Gresik to take part in the Internship program at PT MGI. It is hoped that all these students will be able to take as much experience and knowledge as possible during the internship period to be ready to enter the community after completing their studies at FEB UNISMA," said Diana. After signing this MoU, it ended with a hybrid seminar entitled "The Strategic Study of Risk Management in Business Optimization to Support the Economic Recovery Acceleration" with speaker Bambang Eko Prasetyo which was attended by 100 students and lecturers offline and 700 participants online via zoom platform.
